HPHA members may be interested in the following announcement from the Division of City Planning:

From: “Naomi Hsu”
Date: February 8, 2007
Subject: PUBLIC MEETING Jersey City Transportation Study

Dear Interested Party,

The THIRD PUBLIC MEETING for the Jersey City Division of City
Planning’s Regional Waterfront Access and Downtown Circulation Study
will be held on THURSDAY, MARCH 1 at 6 PM. The meeting will be in
Council Chambers on the second floor of City Hall, 280 Grove Street.
The Division of City Planning continues work on the study, which will
identify deficiencies in the transportation network (including road,
transit, and bike/ped) that provides access to the downtown Jersey City
area, as well as problems in the multi-modal transportation network
within downtown Jersey City. The study will result in recommendations
that address the identified problems. The final report is expected by
May 2007.

At the March 1 public meeting, the consultant team will present the
projected impacts of the various transportation improvement projects on
the future transportation network of downtown Jersey City. The meeting
will be an opportunity for the public to provide input on the evaluation
of the alternatives.

Attached is a flyer advertising the public meeting. Please feel free
to pass the flyer along to anyone who may be interested in attending the
public meeting.

For more information, please visit the study website:

Thank you,
Naomi
