Historic Paulus Hook Association

The Historic Paulus Hook Association, also know as the HPHA, was founded on Sunday, September 24, 1974, to promote the common good of area residents and to improve the quality of life in the Paulus Hook neighborhood of downtown Jersey City.

To be a member of the Association, a person must be over 18 years of age and a resident, property owner, or business owner within the boundaries of neighborhood, namely, the Hudson River (on the east), the Morris Canal Tidewater Basin (on the north), Grove Street (on the west), and Rail Road Avenue or Columbus Drive (on the south). Membership dues for individuals are currently $5 (five) dollars per year.

Non-members and guests are welcome to attend all general meetings as observers. However, they may not vote.

General meetings of Association are regularly held on the first Thursday evening of every month at 7:30 pm in a public place. Meetings currently take place in the Church Hall of OLC Church, located at 114-118 Sussex Street, Jersey City, NJ.
