Meeting called to order by Diane Kaese at 7:35 PM in the basement of Saint Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, 109 Grand Street.

1. HPHA Board Member Attendance

B. Officer Reports

1. President, Diane Kaese opened the meeting.
2. March Meeting Minutes were approved.
3. Budget Jennifer Wagner: Cash Basis Net Income for February $1,772.51, and Cash Basis Net Loss for March ($13,579.30) including Architect fees of $13,629.89.
4. President Report Diane Kaese:

• The bike lane down Grand Street discussed during Mayor Fulop’s State of the City speech on March 7^th is still under discussion no plans have been finalized.
• A team of JC residents from downtown areas are reviewing zone parking for the downtown.  They are considering merging all the current zones into one for the whole downtown with the use of muni-meters in areas of extreme parking pressure (ex. around Grove Street and Exchange Place). 
• Hudson County Department of Health and Human Services is hosting a health screening at Hudson County School of Technology on April 29^th from 10 AM to 2 PM.

C. Committee Reports

1. Construction Committee - Diane Kaese
   1. 99 Hudson (Plaza Construction):
      1. Working on podium concrete slabs
      2. Tower Substructure concrete work to begin mid-April
      3. The foundation concrete Subcontractor will be demobilized off site by the end of April, and then the foundation work will be completed
      4. A transformer is expected to be installed during the month of April causing road closures
   2. Fields Construction:

1. Fields is working with the Jersey City Municipal Utilities Authority on the interior light fittings repairs to 

the Light Rail.

1. NJTransit: 

1. Repairs were made over the weekend starting at 7:00 AM on the concrete barriers around the tracks
2. Repairs are still necessary to fix the grates and missing pavers in the streets

1. Police Committee - Vincent Jacaruso

1. Burglaries are up due to an increase in bicycle thefts. However, they caught one of the thieves and he turned on the rest of the perpetrators so a decline is expected in the future.
2. There was a robbery of tools at a job site
3. Automobile robberies are down this month
4. There was a report of shots fired around the BJ Warehouse. They found 19 shell casings. The police know who is responsible.
5. The Captain and Dina have volunteered to flip pancakes at the pancake breakfast. 

1. Events Committee - Andy Siegel for Riza Hunger

1. The All You Can Eat Pancake Breakfast is scheduled for April 23^rd starting at 9:00 AM
2. Jersey City Great American Clean Up is schedule on April 29^th.
3. HPHA first Book Club Meeting is being held on April 20^th at 7:00 PM in the Windsor Liberty conference room
4. Satis is hosting a Wine Tasting on May 1^st starting at 7:00 PM

1. Technology Committee: Emmanuel Simon

1. We are making progress on setting up the new software program.

1. Presentation: Stony Hills Farm - Brant Davis and Corey Ann

• There are three types of shares: a personal share for one to two people, a half share for two to three people, and a full share for four to six people:
  • The personal share is only available to order through April 30^th, and the half and full share have early bird discounts through April 30^th
  • CSA members also get 10% off at the farm stands
• Shares include both fruit and vegetables and there are examples of the weekly shares on the website
• The following items can be added to your order for an additional cost: eggs, meat, and cheese
• Sign up is available on the website
• Home delivery is available on Tuesdays to buildings with a 24-hour concierge service. Check with your building management to see if they will receive orders.

1. Downtown Harvest 

• Organic vegetables sold directly from the farmer to the community
• Pick up on Wednesday night at OLC
• Bring your own bag cost savings is passed on to the consumer

1. Jersey City Recreation Center-Kevin Williamson, Director

• The Recreation Center has programs geared toward all age groups to see a full list go to jcrec.recdesk.com/community .
• Programs that are geared to children and teens include a variety of sports programs, project G.L.A.D summer camp, a summer hire program for local teens, and a mentoring program with local police to teach teens about careers in law enforcement.
• Programs for adults and seniors include Specialized Fitness Classes, Water Aerobics, Weight Conditioning, Yoga, Bowling, Art Classes and other activities.
• New events happening at the recreation center include double-dutch and converting the ice skating rink into a roller skating rink for the summer months.
• There are also programs for special needs members of the community and Mommy and Me classes.
• The recreation center has started a new program of assigning Ward Captains to each area of Jersey City to help create events geared to that area. Our Ward Captain’s name is Pat Devancy he is the Recreation Supervisor. His team includes Regina Terriogo and Cliff Perkin both are in Public Relations.
• Concerns about the pool closing early were addressed at the Recreation Center; they will look into it.
• A suggestion was made for the Recreation Center to have a comment box on their website.
• Children’s tennis lessons are grouped by skill level not by age.
• A request was made to bring back Yoga on the waterfront.
